After Tel Aviv, the group will focus on opening other labs around the world. Two in United-States, one in Russia, another one in Singapore in addition to the two Chinese labs in Beijing and Hangzhou.\nAlibaba Group’s Chief Technology ( CTO ), Jeff Zhang will head the academy\u00a0\u201c The Alibaba DAMO Academy will be at the forefront of developing next-generation technology that will spur the growth of Alibaba and our partners\u201d\u00a0said the CTO in a press release.\nThe group will be investing 15 billion dollars\u00a0over the three next years.\u00a0\nAs a reminder, Alibaba\u00a0Investments in Israel\u00a0started two years ago when the group\u00a0bought Visualead ( QR code Technology) for 5 million dollars.\nFounded in 1999, Alibaba Group registered 446 million shoppers, a million cloud customers, and 529 million monthly mobile users.
