Narendra Modi arrived in Ramallah escorted by Jordanian and Israeli choppers. The visit was the first by an Indian Prime Minister since 30 years.\nThe Indian official placed a wreath at the mausoleum of Palestinian President Yasser Arafat in Ramallah as the first step of his trip. Then he met the actual President Mahmoud Abbas at Al Muqata’a the presidential compound in Ramallah.\nThe Prime Minister was accompanied by the Secretary of State in Economic relations T.s Tirumurti who signed six agreements with different objects.\nThe first seemed the most urgent objective to achieve, indeed the Memorandum setting up of a Palestine-India especially hospital at Beit Sahour at a cost of USD 30 million. The signatories were Jawad Aouad Minister of Health of the State of Palestine and the Indian Secretary of State.\nThe five additional Memorandum concerns the construction of a Palestine-India Centre for empowering women at cost USD 5 million. A new National Printing Press at Ramallah at a cost of USD 5 million.
