{"id":28229,"date":"2018-07-11T08:47:16","date_gmt":"2018-07-11T08:47:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/v2.ecomnewsmed.com.ecn-01.ovea.com\/2018\/07\/11\/israels-new-draft-cybersecurity-law\/"},"modified":"2020-08-11T11:33:31","modified_gmt":"2020-08-11T09:33:31","slug":"israels-new-draft-cybersecurity-law","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.ecomnewsmed.com\/en\/2018\/07\/11\/israels-new-draft-cybersecurity-law\/","title":{"rendered":"Israel\u2019s new draft cybersecurity law"},"content":"Israel is on the front of the battle against cybercrime.\u00a0As in other developed countries, the Israeli government has been nurturing its cybersecurity industry over the past several years in a co-ordinated manner.\nAccording to a special report released by the IVC Research Centre on the Israeli cybersecurity sector, 20% of all Israeli high-tech companies are operating in the cybersecurity industry, making it one of the country\u2019s most successful branches and a source of innovation for information technology security specialists and defenders all over the world. \nThe Israeli cybersecurity sector has become increasingly competitive and attractive. 2017 saw more governments and multinational companies from various sectors, including banking and financial institutions, automotive systems and professional services, making a smart decision to engage with the Israeli cybersecurity industry. There are currently almost 420 cyber companies in Israel (Start-Up Nation Central) big and active enough to be backed by the major cybersecurity investors.\nThe public comment period of the long-anticipated regulation ends on July 11th.
