This amount will be used to increase the length of fuel distribution lines, while modernizing and maintaining existing conduits, which are not fully exploited. 4 new lines, 180 km long, will become operational in the coming months.&nbsp;\n\n    \n  \n\n\n  \n    \n      \nAccording to sources at the Oil Ministry cited by Arab News, this investment is in line with efforts to make Egypt a regional energy hub. At the end of 2019, Cairo announced its ambition to increase the size of the gas distribution network over the next four years. Last year, around five new natural gas transmission lines were launched, bringing an additional length of 76 kilometers.&nbsp;\n\n    \n  \n\n\n  \n    \n      \nAccording to the authorities, if the plan is scrupulously implemented, the network will have a total length of 8,750 kilometers by the end of 2023.
