{"id":34696,"date":"2021-11-24T16:04:49","date_gmt":"2021-11-24T14:04:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ecomnewsmed.com\/?post_type=news&p=34696"},"modified":"2021-11-30T10:40:51","modified_gmt":"2021-11-30T08:40:51","slug":"turkey-wants-to-establish-itself-as-a-key-player-in-satellite-communications","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.ecomnewsmed.com\/en\/2021\/11\/24\/turkey-wants-to-establish-itself-as-a-key-player-in-satellite-communications\/","title":{"rendered":"Turkey wants to establish itself as a key player in satellite communications"},"content":"\n \n \n \nT\u00fcrksat, the Turkish public company specializing in the provision of telecommunications services by satellite, announced on November 21 that its new satellite called T\u00fcrksat 5B has been officially delivered to it by Airbus Defense and Space after technical tests of use.\n\n \n \n\n\n \n \n \nOmer Fatih Sayan, Turkish Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, and Hasan Huseyin Ertok, General Manager of T\u00fcrksat, took delivery of the equipment that will be shipped to Florida for launch into space in December by SpaceX, from Cape Canaveral base on the Falcon 9 space launcher.\n\n \n \n\n\n \n \n \nThe T\u00fcrksat company indicated that the T\u00fcrksat 5B satellite, which \u201cwill be the most powerful in the T\u00fcrksat satellite fleet with its payload capacity and power values, belongs to the category of high-speed satellites (HTS) with an efficiency of at least 20 times the capacity of Fixed Satellite Service (FSS) class satellites \u201d.\n\n \n \n\n\n \n \n \nShe said the equipment will serve a wide area of \u200b\u200bcoverage, including North and East Africa, Nigeria, South Africa and its nearby neighboring countries.\n\n \n \n\n\n \n \n \nThe launch of the T\u00fcrksat 5B satellite will take place a few months after the launch of the T\u00fcrksat 5A satellite last January. It had reached its geosynchronous orbit, essential for its entry into service, on May 4. It entered service on June 28 and already covers several African countries. It was also built by Airbus Defense and Space.\n\n \n \n\n\n \n \n \nWith the use of the T\u00fcrksat 5B satellite in an orbit of 42 degrees East, T\u00fcrksat aims to increase its capacity in Ku-band as well as the data service in Ka-band. The equipment will also provide redundancy for the T\u00fcrksat 3A and T\u00fcrksat 4A satellites serving the same orbit. Last January, Turkey's fourth telecoms satellite was launched into space. It has already taken its marks across the world. Turkey has already developed new equipment, the fifth.
