It contributes significantly to industrial GDP.\n\n    \n  \n\n\n  \n    \n      \nIn 2021, companies in the chemical sector represented 16.5% of the Moroccan industrial fabric. Its actors have been grouped together since 1993 within a professional association.\n\n    \n  \n\n\n  \n    \n\t\t\t\t\t\n\n\t\t    \n  \n\n\n  \n    \n      \nIts members include companies in the chemical sector, private or public, Moroccan or subsidiary of foreign groups, established in Morocco. In addition to the major operators in the sector (OCP, SNEP, SCE Chemicals, Colorado, BASF, Bayer, Air Liquide, Unilever, P&amp;G, etc.), the Chemistry and Parachemistry Federation also has several associations (CropLife Maroc, AMIFE , COSMEM, AMIPEC, AMOD, AMGIM).\n\n    \n  \n\n\n  \n    \n      \nThe chemical and parachemical industries sector brings together 1,600 companies that employ more than 60,000 people. In 2022, these companies made 11 billion dirhams of investment and 190 billion dirhams of turnover, including 120 billion in exports. The sector is made up of large Moroccan groups, subsidiaries of multinationals and several hundred SMEs-SMIs operating in 10 diversified chemical sectors.\n\n    \n  \n\n\n  \n    \n      \nThe sector is strongly linked upstream and downstream to other industrial and economic activities in the country.
