The US will also provide the technical support and training needed to improve the security capabilities of Egypt&#8217;s civil aviation system.\n\n    \n  \n\n\n  \n    \n      \nThe use of this equipment should also help to reduce passenger waiting times and facilitate procedures. The agreements signed also provide for the supply of the &#8220;support and expertise&#8221; needed to refurbish terminal 3 at Cairo international airport.\n\n    \n  \n\n\n  \n    \n\t\t\t\t\t\n\n\t\t    \n  \n\n\n  \n    \n      \nEgypt&#8217;s airports have the highest passenger traffic on the continent, due to their high tourist flows, which explains the constant pressure and recurring security challenges at these hubs.
