This week, the Global Climate Change Summit will be hold in Agadir with worldwide organisations fighting against climate warming.

Salaheddine Mezouar, Head officer at the Cop 22 hold in Marrakech in 2015.

This is the second summit called « climate chance » held in Morocco since the Cop 22 in Marrakech.

3 000 participants including NGO, elected representatives, coalitions by common theme, will discuss over the 2 degrees limit fixed on global warming at the worldwide convention of Paris in 2015. The head of the Cop20 Manuel Pulgar-Vidal and the Cop22 Salaheddine Mezouar head officer will be present to accompany the event. 80 best practices conferences are already scheduled over 15 different themes.

Brahim Hafidi, the president of the regional council of Souss-Massa considers that it is “an important moment to support the NGO actions and dedication to the program”.

Agadir wants to improve the African perspectives of the climate chance summit. This is something new and Morocco seems to be the adequate actor to push for the energy transition in Africa.
