Palestine signed with India six infrastructures agreements, Construction of schools, hospital, the Memorandum of Understanding concern different infrastructural development.
The Palestinian leader said he was counting on India’s support.
The Indian Prime Minister’s visit was expected by Palestinian authorities. Narendra Modi arrived in Ramallah escorted by Jordanian and Israeli choppers. The visit was the first by an Indian Prime Minister since 30 years.
The Indian official placed a wreath at the mausoleum of Palestinian President Yasser Arafat in Ramallah as the first step of his trip. Then he met the actual President Mahmoud Abbas at Al Muqata’a the presidential compound in Ramallah.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by the Secretary of State in Economic relations T.s Tirumurti who signed six agreements with different objects.
The first seemed the most urgent objective to achieve, indeed the Memorandum setting up of a Palestine-India especially hospital at Beit Sahour at a cost of USD 30 million. The signatories were Jawad Aouad Minister of Health of the State of Palestine and the Indian Secretary of State.
The five additional Memorandum concerns the construction of a Palestine-India Centre for empowering women at cost USD 5 million. A new National Printing Press at Ramallah at a cost of USD 5 million. And finally the construction of different schools around the Middle Eastern country.
All the Memorandum were signed by T.S Tirumurti Secretary and the concerning Palestinian Minister.
