560 million euros are mandatory to fund the first Palestinian dessalinisation plant project in Gaza with the European Union support.

The European Union is organizing a conference in Bruxel on the 20th of March to find donors. The project that will take place in Gaza strip, aims to provide water to 2 billion of Palestinians.

The 560 million euros cost rely on international community donation coordinated by the European Union. On the same day, Bruxels will host the AHLC an international group network financing the Palestinian economy support.

On top of that, Federica Mogherini announced that the European Union will give 82 million euros to the UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) going through a major economic crisis since the US withdrew their contribution. The European effort will contribute to 500 000 children to access to education, to finance to 3,5 million of people to access to primary health care as well as 250 000 Palestinian refugees.

In 2016, the European Union gave 424 million euros donation and 391 million euros in 2017. The EU is the main contributor to the UNRWA. After the institution, the UNRWA is a strategic organism promoting the whole Middle East stability.
