France is committed to enhance cooperation projects with Jordan in the Framework of the fight against unemployment in the Middle-East North Africa area (MENA).

An agreement worth 8 million euros was signed between France and Jordan, aimed at creating jobs for locals and also Syrian refugees living in the Levant country. This deal includes a 3-years funding program of training on vocational skills to meet job market.

Almost 4600 Jordanians and Syrians whom 50% are women, will benefit from this budget envelope in order to improve their job skills. The French Embassy in Jordan which is responsible of leading the project said that ” This initiative will strengthen the employability of young Jordanians and refugees by improving vocational training schemes and adapting them to the needs of businesses. “

On the other hand, France is once again paving the way for the Euro-Mediterranean cooperation in accordance with the North-South axis, starting by helping the MENA countries in solving the Syrian refugee’s professional integration’s issue.
