In Algeria, you would probably find a job if you have received a vocational training. Graduates are able to be hired in less than 6 months.
According to the Minister of Vocational Training Mohammed Mebarki, 83% of youth registered and graduated from the National Employment Agency (ANEM), need less than 6 months to enter the labour market. It would be one of the best performances in the world! In Algeria, Unemployment is more likely to affect young people. The Office for national statistics’ (ONS) figures show that 28, 3% of the ages of 16-24 were unemployed.
Moreover, 63% of project holders that benefited from the National Agency for Supporting the Employment of Young People (ANSEJ), are also vocational Training graduates. Early this year, an Apprenticeship Act presented to the Parliament unveiled the creation of 290 000 teaching posts in training in several areas, in order to keep moving forward with good results.
On the other hand, they are almost 250 000 trained, graduated every year from the national institutes in 442 specialities, that meet the economic operators’ requirements.
