Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan: "We have become capable of producing tanks, missiles, radars, weapons and other industrial products much better than equivalent countries"

The Turkish Head of State spoke on August 31 during the graduation ceremony of the National Defense University in Istanbul.

Erdogan especially wanted to recall the advances made in recent years in the defense and armaments industry.

He stressed that this progress is part of the objectives set by the government for 2023, the centenary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey.

“With the help of Allah, no one will be able to prevent the construction of the Great and Mighty Turkey for the centenary of our Republic,” he said.

The Turkish President also wanted to send a strong message to those who want to deviate Turkey from its path: “We will send, in 2023, the final message to those who did not understand on July 15”, referring to the attempt to coup d’état of July 15, 2016.

Erdogan thus recalled the determination of the state and the government in the face of those who want to divide the Turkish people.

Regarding industrial and technological advances, the Turkish leader returned to the case of drones, in particular armed drones (SIHA).

“The successes, against terrorism or in conflict zones like in Syria and Karabakh, of our armed drones, are mentioned all over the world,” he boasted.

And to conclude: “Turkey has become a country capable of producing tanks, missiles, radars, weapons and other industrial products much better than equivalent countries”.
