More than 29 million foreign tourists visited Turkey in the first eight months of this year 2022.
The Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism shared, on September 23, the data of foreign visitors who came to Turkey between January and August 2022.
Thus, 29,334,652 foreign tourists chose Turkey to spend their holidays.
This represents an increase of 108.48% compared to the same period last year.
The Germans, the Russians and then the English come first among foreign visitors to Türkiye. They are followed by Bulgarians and Iranians.
Moreover, for the first 8 months of the year, the total number of tourists, local and foreign, was 32,500,190.
