Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on September 25 expressed his conviction that the year 2023 will be a pivotal year in the country's history, and its evolution towards a leading position on a global scale in terms of politics and of economy.

This is reflected in the speech of President Erdogan at the award ceremony organized on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO), held at the Gulf Convention Center from the city.

President Erdogan recalled that next year, in 2023, Turkey will celebrate the centenary of its founding in October 1923.

“I believe, he added, that the year 2023, during which our republic will celebrate its first centenary, will be marked in our history as a pivotal year in our evolution towards a leading position in politics and the global economy.”

He pointed out that just as his government has managed to overcome many crises and problems over the past few years, he will make inflation a mere memory of the past.

The Turkish President added that the basic condition for this (solving the inflation problem) is to maintain an atmosphere of stability and confidence in the country, noting that the next year 2023 is of great importance, with reference to the date of the presidential elections scheduled for June this year.

According to the Turkish Statistics Authority, the consumer price index in the Turkish market increased last August by 1.46% on a monthly basis, compared to the previous July.

“We will manage to go beyond 2023 without incident, by carrying out our major projects, by taking advantage of the opportunities that global developments offer our country, and by winning the elections (presidential and parliamentary) thanks to the Popular Alliance”, he said. said Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The People’s Alliance includes the ruling party, the Justice and Development Party (Adalet ve Kalkınma Partisi, AK PARTİ), chaired by Erdogan, the Nationalist Action Party (Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi or MHP), led by Devlet Bahçeli , and the Great Unity Party (Büyük Birlik Partisi, BBP), led by Mustafa Destici.
