Turkey: Recep Tayyip Erdogan claims that his country is the 4th largest economy in Europe

“According to purchasing power parity, Türkiye has become the 11th largest economy in the world in 2021 and the 4th largest economy in Europe”, he assured before adding:

“We will inaugurate the factory of our TOGG electric car in Gemlik on October 29 and start mass production,” when it comes to building 100% electric vehicles.

Recalling Turkey’s breakthroughs in the economic and diplomatic fields, Erdogan clarified, “Nobody can limit the horizon of Türkiye to 780 thousand square kilometers”.

The Turkish head of state said, regarding the tensions with Greece that his country will not give in to pressure.

“We are implementing a constructive and active policy to solve the problems (…). We are not looking for tensions and will not give in to pressure”, he underlined.

“Encouraging Greece to arm the islands is incompatible with reason, and the spirit of allies. The policy of provocation and tension does not benefit anyone,” he continued.

Assuring that “Turkey has become essential for the resolution of the great problems and challenges of our time”, Recep Tayyip Erdogan launched:

“I say this with great pride, Turkish diplomacy is enjoying its most glorious period in recent centuries.”

Regarding the accession of Sweden and Finland to NATO, Recep Tayyip Erdogan insisted on the fact that Turkey remains firm on its positions on this subject.

“We will maintain our position of principle on this issue until the promises made to our country are kept,” he insisted.

The Turkish leader notably underlined that the agreement on the cereal corridor concluded thanks to the efforts of his country was one of the greatest achievements of the UN, whose prestige has been shaken, in recent years.
