Morocco launches a direct air line between Marrakech and New York from October 2024

This historic choice of the first point-to-point connection of an American airline to Morocco and North Africa, results from numerous promotional actions carried out by the ONMT teams for the American market, in line with the ONMT “Light in Action” action plan and the 2023-2026 tourism strategic roadmap.

Scheduled from October 2024, the Marrakech – New York route will be operated by a 167-seat Boeing 767-300 configured with United’s award-winning cabins: Polaris, Premium Plus business and Premium Economy, with three weekly frequencies. , Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The winter seasonal line will be operated from the Newark/New York hub from October 31, 2024, with the possibility of developing it into an annual line. With the launch of this direct route, United Airlines becomes the only American airline to offer direct flights to a North African country.

Strengthening air links from the United States to Morocco will help consolidate the positioning of the Morocco destination in this market which represents nearly 81 million travelers.

This new air route also enriches the existing offer from the United States to Morocco, with the New York-Casablanca, Washington-Casablanca and Miami-Casablanca lines operated by Royal Air Maroc.
