The famous technological institute Technion has opened a site in Guangdong, China. This is a partnership between the Haifa University and the Li Ka Shing Chinese Foundation. This is the first Israeli university to open a campus in China.

The Chinese campus of the Israeli Technion is at the image of what China can do: big!. The site aims to welcome 3 000 students in 10 years time, divided into 13 buildings, 29 classrooms, and more than 55 laboratories research centres.
The program will develop the engineering skills of the Chinese students. For the Li Ka Shing president of the foundation, the program has mutual benefits offering to the Technion an excellency platform in China.
The Chinese foundation already financed the Israeli university in 2013. 130 million dollars were given to build a part of the Guangdong campus. The county and the city helped as well the project. 147 million dollars got invested to the campus as well as a free given field.
Thanks to a great reputation, the Technological centre of Israel is developing many departments abroad. The last one was on the Roosevelt Island in New York, United State.
