The President also addressed his country’s objectives in the field.
“We will launch into space, in 2022, our high-resolution observation satellite, IMECE, which we are developing and building with our own resources, as well as the TURKSAT 6A satellite, which will be the first telecommunications satellite that we will have produced. with our means too “, he insisted.
Erdogan added that they “will soon announce the National Space Program 2021-2030 and unveil Turkey’s goals.”
“We will create a microsatellite launch center,” he said. “We support the efforts of our public institutions, universities and our private sector to develop satellites.”
Erdogan concluded that they are “determined to make Turkey a brand in the field of space and satellite technologies”.
