The Price Stability Committee held its first meeting chaired by Turkish Treasury and Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati on December 28.
According to information obtained by the Anadolu Agency, the Committee met on December 28 at 11:00 a.m. to discuss inflation and its possible relative risks.
The Committee was created following a presidential decree published in the Official Journal on June 30. It is made up of officials from the Ministries of Labor and Social Security, Energy and Natural Resources, Industry and Technologies, Agriculture and Forests and Trade. The Head of Strategy and Budget of the Presidency, as well as the Governor of the Central Bank, are also members of the Committee.
This mechanism aims to identify risks threatening price stability and to take the necessary measures in this area.
