Egypt has unveiled its first batch of modern, locally manufactured rail vehicles, comprising 10 air-conditioned metro trains and 80 carriages

The new trains are due to be deployed on lines 2 and 3 of the Cairo metro in order to increase the network's capacity, but also to reduce the budget for the ongoing renewal of the rail fleet.
