Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, currently visiting Saudi Arabia, assured that the two countries have taken the decision to continue the dialogue.

Cavusoglu hosted a press point on May 11 following meetings with the Saudi authorities.

During his 2-day visit to Saudi Arabia, Cavusoglu met his Saudi counterpart, Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud, inter-delegation meetings were also held.

“We held an extremely open and sincere meeting. We decided to continue our dialogue” indicated the head of Turkish diplomacy.

Addressing Israel’s attacks on Gaza and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Cavusoglu assured that the time is no longer for sterile condemnation.

“We are only condemning, but the Ummah expects us to act,” he said, assuring that Turkey is continuing these diplomatic actions and that a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will take place soon.

Cavusoglu notably called on the international community to act on the atrocities committed by Israel in complete violation of international law.

“I hope that at the special meeting of the UN General Assembly, we will adopt a resolution,” he said.
