Airbus Helicopters, the world's leading manufacturer of civilian helicopters and one of the main manufacturers of military helicopters, an Airbus subsidiary, based in Marignane in Bouches-du-Rhône in France, has just signed an agreement for the purchase of 10 H125 helicopters with The Helicopter Company (THC) which is 100% owned by the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia.This order marks the start of a new partnership with The Helicopter Company

This agreement is part of THC’s commitment to further expand its fleet and introduce new services that meet market demand and support the development of the Kingdom’s wider aviation sector.

Considered a multitasking helicopter, the Airbus H125 can carry up to six passengers and can be easily reconfigured to meet a variety of requirements.

THC will use the new additions to its fleet to roll out new services related to scenic tourism and aerial works.

“This order marks the start of a new partnership with The Helicopter Company and we welcome them as a new customer of Airbus Helicopters,” said Ben Bridge, executive vice president of global operations at Airbus Helicopters prior to adding :

The H125 is the ideal helicopter to develop commercial operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia because it is a powerful and truly versatile aircraft, particularly suited to hot and high environments.”

Commenting on the purchase agreement, Arnaud Martinez, CEO of THC continued:

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s leading local commercial helicopter operator, THC offers private flights and is now expanding its services with the addition of 10 H125 to its fleet. This new agreement helps boost the development of Saudi Arabia’s nascent and increasingly dynamic tourism and aviation industries.
