This "real economic dynamic in 2022" would be explained by a battery of measures taken by the public authorities to relaunch 915 suspended projects identified at the national level, indicated the mediator of the Republic Brahim Merad.

Speaking during a meeting with investors and local authorities of the wilaya, held at the headquarters of the Office of Youth Establishments (ODEJ) in Bouira, Brahim Merad emphasized the extent of the efforts initiated by the public authorities to boost the national economy, through a series of measures decided by the President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

“The policy put in place by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, is essentially focused on removing the constraints and obstacles affecting the various outstanding investment projects, with a view to boosting production and creating wealth”, indicated the mediator of the Republic at the opening of the meeting.

Brahim Merad said he was “very optimistic” about the economic future of Algeria which, he stressed, “will change its face in the second half of 2022, thanks to the willingness of investors and the confidence that s is re-established between them and the public authorities”.

“We are working so that the year 2022 is an economic year par excellence”, insisted the host of Bouira, who went to the industrial zone of Sidi Khaled in Oued El Bardi, where he visited some industrial units.

According to statistics given by Mr. Merad, 915 outstanding investment projects have been identified at the national level, of which 647 have been relaunched after the removal of technical constraints and other bureaucratic obstacles. “We have lifted the constraints on 647 projects which will have to generate more than 34,000 jobs”, underlined the mediator of the Republic.

Some 410 investment projects “have already gone into production across the country and should create 26,630 jobs for young people, especially university graduates,” said Brahim Merad.

“It is the revival of all these projects which will be at the origin of an exceptional economic dynamic in the country, the main objective of which is to create employment and wealth, to go more towards the export and reduce the import bill, in order to get out of the oil rent”, he said.

He indicated that his institution receives, every week, reports on the evolution of the situation of the projects through all the wilayas, and took this opportunity to salute the efforts of the local authorities of Bouira for the management of this sensitive file at the level of the wilaya.

“Bouira is a privileged wilaya. It constitutes an economic and industrial crossroads which links important wilayas in terms of industrial and commercial activities, such as Sétif, Algiers, Boumerdes and Bordj Bou Arréridj”, noted the Mediator of the Republic.

During his visit to Bouira, Brahim Merad inquired about the situation of some investment projects launched in the industrial zone of Oued El Bardi, including an aluminum recycling unit and another for porcelain production.

He also visited the factory of the pharmaceutical group Biopharm and was “very pleased with this important investment”, which, he said, “will give a new impetus to the pharmaceutical industry in Algeria”.

During his visit, 21 investors received their exceptional operating permits to encourage them to enter into business and to encourage production. “We are continuing our work to maintain this economic momentum which is starting to bear fruit on the ground,” said Brahim Merad.
