This is “extraordinary diplomatic and economic achievement” said a statement from the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs! The Indian company negotiated with Saudi Arabia to open its flight from New Delhi going through the Persic Gulf to Tel-Aviv.

This is “extraordinary diplomatic and economic achievement” said a statement from the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs! Indeed for the first time in history, Saudi Arabia is allowing a flight to pass through its territory in Israel direction.

Few months after the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu visit to India and an unofficial diplomatic overture between Israel and Saudi Arabia thing are going more concrete.

Israel flight from and to Southern Asia are not very opened yet expected with Australia’s national carrier Qantas and Philippine’s Airlines. Air India flights opening will reduce considerably the time spent, as well as the cost.

Thanks to an agreement from Saudi Arabia to flight through the Persian Gulf States, 7 hours and 15 minutes will be necessary to flight from New Delhi to Tel-Aviv for 540$.

In a press release, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs is expecting a large increase in the Indian Tourists flow. In 2017, they were 58 000 visitors from India to visit the Hebrew State (corresponding to a 54% of increase). On the other side, they were 60 000 tourists from Israel to rejoice the wonders of India. After the ministry of Tourism figures, it corresponds to a 20% increase compared with 2015 numbers of visitors.
